Sue Hendra and Richard Watson have been awarded the Red House children's Pick of the Year

Wanda and the Alien by Sue Hendra, and The Pink Bicycle illustrated by Richard Watson, have both been award ‘Pick of the Year’ from the Red House children’s book award.

Each year children all over the country read and review hundreds of books, and the top 50 of these are our Pick of the Year.

The Top Ten make up the 2012 shortlist but the other 40 books are favourites too and come highly recommended. Whether you’re interested in books for younger children, books for younger readers or books for older readers, there’s something for everyone to enjoy in our Pick of the Year.

Ten Little Ducks by Airlie Anderson has received the Taiwan 2011 Best Children's English Language Books for Primary Schools award

Taiwan award Child’s Play titles the 2011 Best Children’s English Language Books for Primary Schools

Child’s Play were extremely pleased to announce that the ‘Hello Book Club’, of New Taipei City in Taiwan, have named three of their books as ‘The Best Children’s English Language Books for Primary Schools 2011’.

One of these titles selected was Ten Little Ducks by Airlie Anderson – congratulations Airlie!
