Artists : Fê Luiz

I was born in Santos, a town by the sea in south of Brazil where I graduated
as an architect. Soon after graduating Imoved to São Paulo, the biggest Brazilian
city, where I took some courses on Visual Arts and became an illustrator of books
for children.
Since 2005 I’ve been living in London. My career so far has given me the pleasure of illustrating many books edited by Handprint Books, Ladybird, Intervisual, Scholastic, Smart Ink and so on.
I love drawing since I was a small child. Oil painting would be my favorite when I was only nine years old.
When I am drawing I turn into the character of the book I am involved. I may be elephant, a boy, a girl, the moon, the sun, a king, a queen, a cat, a dog or whatever I want.
With my loveable Macintosh computer and my digital pen I put down on paper the entire magical universe created by the literature for children.
You cannot imagine how my hands are unquiet when I am not creating and drawing a new book that might please you.
I am very happy of having a creative work that put together reading, painting, doodling and drawing, joyful activities that I have always loved.
