I was born and raised by trolls on the bleak Yorkshire moors, where they taught me how to draw and even paint by numbers. Ever since those early days in the land of giants I have worked as an illustrator. Then one afternoon I borrowed a boat from a very nice owl and his mean friend the cat and sailed to New Zealand. On landing, and about to claim it for trolls everywhere, I was captured by a very strong mouse and his friend Mr. Walt Disney and made to paint backgrounds for their films. Several years passed and I was freed by an army of albatross and flown to my native land, to surf the beaches of Devon and Cornwall. One very pretty day I rescued a mermaid called Jayne and we married and had two little mermaids called Harriet and Isobel. We now live in sunny Cambridge where I write and illustrate children’s books, which sell all over the world, thanks to a little pressure from the global troll community.
