Artists : Ekaterina Trukhan

I was born and grew up in Russia. I moved to the UK in 2007 to study Illustration and graduated from Camberwell College of Arts with a BA (Hons) Degree in Illustration in 2010.
While studying at college I came second in the Macmillan Prize both in 2009 and 2010. After that I got a two picture book deal with Macmillan Children’s books. My first picture book is due to be published in 2012.

In my work I pay particular attention to colour, composition and characterisation. I work primarily with acrylic paint, gouache and coloured pencils.

I’m currently based in London, UK.
