Artists : Susie Poole

Born in Norwich, Norfolk, 1968, Susie Poole enjoyed growing up an artistic family. Seeing her father burrow deep into the beauty, the lives and history of their local surroundings and publish it in his own books, Susie knew from an early age that the world of publishing was for her. She was also aware that rich sources of inspiration were never far away.

Susie studied Illustration at Manchester Metropolitan University. After graduating she spent her first ten years illustrating cards, gifts and books. The next ten was an exciting venture founding and publishing the Pupfish book list with her husband, Jon. Pupfish has enabled Susie to gain experience as an author/illustrator, a Creative Director as well as having first hand experience of the challenges and rewards of the publisher.

Susie lives in the peak district surrounded by hills and dales where she loves to walk and find inspiration. Her favourite 'drizzly days' past time is sewing nice things using her treasure box of ribbons, buttons and fabric bits.
