Artists : Robert McPhillips

I was born in Solihull in the West Midlands in 1971, but often feel I might have been born a century too late. I've always drawn, painted and daydreamed. I got my first agent whilst still at UWE Bristol and I'm happy to say I started to illustrate books back in 1994 whilst still studying and received a 1st in Illustration a year later. After a hiatus of about ten years illustrating for the greeting card industry, I felt the need again in 2009 to illustrate books again and the balance of both industries is really nice.
I am still beavering away at my own projects for books, both for younger and older readers, when I get the spare time that is. I live with my wife and our beloved cat, who rules the roost in our home. I've worked with Disney, Warner Bros, Random House, Bloomsbury, Oxford University Press, Ladybird, Hallmark and many other publishers on a wide variety of illustration and writing assignments.
