Artists : Ben Mantle

Ben Mantle was born in Leamington Spa in 1980, and developed a very early interest in things artistic, designing programme covers for school productions and even coming first in his local library colouring-in competition. From there he went on to study animation at Surrey Institute of Art & Design, graduating in 2003.

Ben joined the crew working on Tim Burton’s “Corpse Bride” in 2005, gaining valuable experience alongside outstanding practitioners and gaining exposure to skills and techniques that allow him to work in a variety of styles to suit the task in hand.

Ben has further honed his skills whilst working as ‘Head of Animation’ in a Brighton based Studio, focusing on Character and Background design. Alongside of this activity he became increasingly interested in establishing his own portfolio, and began producing digital artwork to exhibit in Brighton and London.

Ben now operates exclusively as an illustrator and Animator from his base in Brighton. Given his broad canvas Ben is able to adapt his working style to reflect the needs of a diverse range of clients.
